Ginger KoontzGinger Koontz Board Member since 2008 "I feel Michelle's Place is serving a great need in the community and has been a wonderful support to me personally with my breast cancer." - Ginger Koontz Ginger joined the Michelle's Place Board of Directors in 2008 after volunteering at Michelle's Place since 2004. She continues to volunteer in the office and is now a breast cancer survivor (click here to read Ginger's Survivor Story). She provides the support only a survivor can to other Michelle's Place survivors. Ginger also participates on various committees at Michelle's Place. Currently retired, Ginger taught elementary school for 36 years for Whittier Public Schools and Grace Christian School in Cypress, CA. Besides teaching 3rd, 4th, and 6th grade, she found time to volunteer for ToughLove International for over 25 years, serving on the Board for three and half years and as a Representative and Trainer in Southern California for 19 years. Ginger holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Biola University and an Associates of Arts degree in Social Science from Cerritos College. She enjoys cooking, entertaining, home decorating and reading. |
