Sylvia

"My name is Sylvia and I have been married to my husband Richard for 41 years.  We have two grown sons and a wonderful daughter-in-law.  We moved to Murrieta about 8 years ago after a short stay in Florida after moving from Orange County.  I retired from my job as a claim representative for a large insurance company but still wanted to work with people and keep busy.  I worked for a design center in Murrieta for 4 years until the home construction industry took a turn for the worse.

I heard about Michelle's Place from several of my neightbors and wanted to learn more about it.  Although I am not a breast cancer survivor, I have been touched by friends and family members who had breast cancer.  I did the 5K Walk for Breast Cancer this past October for the first time and felt such great pride to be part of this wonderful organization and what they represent.  I have a lot of time on my hands adn want to put my skills and energy to good use.  I have always enjoyed being around people and helping others.  I could not think of a better place to help out than Michelle's Place."
