"I recently experienced the loss of my mother who did not survive breast cancer.  I traveled to Michigan many times during the last two years to care for her during some of her most challenging times.  She was very brave and positive throughout her illness and her attitude made us all sure she would make it.

I wish there was a Michelle's Place where she lived!  I want to help other women with many of the issues my mom went through herself.  It would have been nice if there was one place to turn to for such things as finding a wig, getting comfortable undergarments and prosthesis, dealing with lymphedema and a support group.  Awareness and education can make such a difference.  I am hoping to make a difference by volunteering at Michelle's Place!"
