Lorie

Many of you may remember Lorie from the 2009 Spring Fling where she was a survivor speaker. Lori is a three year survivor in May 2010 (click here to read Lorie's Survivor Story) and works Thursdays in the office, as well as working an occasional health fair.

She jokingly told me what she likes best about Michelle’s Place is that she no longer is a client.

“I came to Michelle’s Place for the self help group and help with a prosthesis and wigs,” said Lorie. “I wanted to give back and help other women feel more comfortable and less fearful.”

Lorie worked for 25 years as a teacher focusing on the primary grades. Her favorite grade to teach was third grade. Now retired, Lorie enjoys gardening, walking and taking friends to the Temecula wine country. She loves to read and travel and just returned from a two-week Panama Canal cruise.
