I would like to thank all of you who participated in the Promenade Mall's "12 Days of Giving" promotion during the first 12 days of December.  This was the first time they have implemented this promotion to benefit non-profit organizations in our community.  During December 1-12, customers were encouraged to bring their receipts to customer service and for each dollar spent at the mall, the charity of your choice would be given one point.  The charity with the most points, wins $1,000!  And, thanks to all of you and to our volunteers Carole and Sharron who set-up a table near customer service to encourage folks to participate, we won!!!!  Out of the 32,123 points earned, Michelle's Place earned 16,494!  That's more than half of all the points!!! Great job!!!

I would like to officially welcome Harry Finch to our Executive Board of Directors.  Harry and his wife Sharon have been long time supporters of Michelle's Place.  Harry has been serving on the Michelle's Place Finance committee and has been insturmental in the establishment of the Michelle's Place Endowment.

Harry is currently retired.  He was the President of Roll A Flex, Doors inc. A business that Harry and his partner started in 1974. They manufactured commercial and industrial doors.
"The more I learned about MP and the wonderful services that are provided to women suffering from breast cancer, and the great compassion that is demonstrated by the staff and the volunteers working there, the more I was inpressed. I am very proud that I was asked to join their executive board."  We are pleased to have Harry take a more active role at Michelle's Place and look forward to his guidance.

It's that time of year again....Spring Fling!  Tomorrow, Tuesday, January 10 at 11am at Michelle's Place will be our first Spring Fling committee meeting.  If you are interested in helping with this years' event, please attend!  Everyone is welcome!  If you or someone you know would like to donate items for our silent auction, we would appreciate it!  We need items and gift certificates!  For more information or to donate, please contact Jamie Goebel at 951-699-5455 or at jamie@michellesplace.org
